Border Design for urban back garden

Planting description

Planting with a natural feel and year round interest created through choosing both winter and summer flowering evergreen shrubs alongside spring, summer & autumn flowering herbaceous perennials. Bulbs create additional spring interest. The planting has been chosen to provide interesting contrasts in form and texture through foliage such as silver leaved Brunnera 'Jack Frost' and the fine fronds of fern Polystichum setiferum 'Herrenhausen'. The selected plants enjoy partial shade, and use of colour - mostly blues, greens and whites - with orange accents - unifies the planting.

Rebecca did such an excellent job of designing our border. She really took the time to find out what sort of plants we liked and the look that we were going for, as well as what would suit us in terms of budget and maintenance requirements. Most importantly she researched what would work with the type of soil and conditions in our garden. This was all done through filling in a comprehensive survey. Following this Rebecca made lots of suggestions for plants and we were able to choose the ones we liked. The next step was the creation of a comprehensive plan for our approval. When creating this plan Rebecca ensured that there was interest through the year with different plants coming into flower at different times. Rebecca consulted with us and took the time to make sure we were happy with everything before the plan was finalised. Rebecca even provided a comprehensive maintenance plan for aftercare. We couldn’t be more happy with our new border!
